MEET THE CONSULTANT

Luisa has been active in the wine industry for more than 12 years, specializing in marketing, restaurant management, events and wine judging.

‘I began at my family’s cellar door, where I moved quickly to restaurant management, enjoying working with staff towards a common goal - always presenting the best as a team, and finding ways of improvement and efficiency. Naturally I fell deeper into marketing, managing sales both on and off premise, all the while supervising wine lists, wine clubs and service. I began to study more with increasing application, and also began participating in events, local wine shows, wine festivals, and international trade shows. Volunteering my time at the local wine competitions, I eventually learnt the ropes as a wine judge, in local and national shows. Recently I was a wine judge in the Japan Wine Challenge, Tokyo 2018.

I’m committed to wine, its culture and its world. I have always promoted and told the stories of the small producers, particularly from my region of Orange, who respectfully work the earth. I am passionate about helping people discover the varieties in their glass, and honouring those who have the audacity to put their efforts and territory into an exquisite product. It all leads back to my philosophy: respect for producer, place and product therefore I support artisan producers whose varieties represent a true piece of that terroir.’
